Poetry in the City of Trees Anthology 2018 June 01, 2018 poetry in the city of trees Poetry in the City of Trees Meet Up group is thrilled to present its first ever anthology. We are a group of poets spread across Treasure Valley some of whom meet regularly at the Cole/Ustick Library once a week on Sunday afternoon. Some of the poets are first time contributors and new to the poetry scene, and others are more seasoned writers. The poems contributed are examples of the wonderful minds, talents, interpretations and expression found in our local poets who are generous enough to gift us all with their insights to what, “Let’s Make It Work” means. The title was the challenge presented to the group, no more—no less. As you read on you will find their many interpretations of the topic to include poems about: relationships, jobs, sports teams, communities, nations, political parties, religion, spirituality, culture, gender, working with our environment and its creatures. There are poems about how we work together with pets, families, lovers, ids and egos. . . There are even group poems written in alternate stanzas by the attendees. We hope you will find your curiosity tickled and interests expanded as you read on. Please enjoy our first -time but not our last effort to entertain you with our very own Poetry in the City of Trees poets.
